Using Data and Scientific Principles
Today we hope to talk more about the difference between observational premises and premises based on data or scientific principles. One way to look at it is that you have to be there to believe an observational premise. There isn't any way to support an observational premise using a scientific principle. It is simply an observation made at the time.
It is worth remembering that we are using conditional arguments that have the form:
P1: | If A, then B. |
---|---|
P2: | Affirm A. |
C: | Conclude B. |
